Young Members

The younger members coordinator until recently was Sam Hyde. His job was to promote CAMRA to under 30s in Liverpool. This involves organising events and promoting branch activities that are already occurring. Sam is very keen to get local Liverpool U30s involved in CAMRA, as well as students who choose Liverpool for their education. Remember that non-members and the over 30s can get involved in events as well and are always warmly welcomed. Sam did a great job but has recently had to step down from this role. We are therefore looking for a new young persons co-ordinator, fancy it?

The Young Members Group Committee (YMGC) hold 4 meetings a year, so this is your chance to air your views on what you'd like us to do in the future.

This was the first time that we will held a YMGC Meeting in CAMRAs Merseyside, Cheshire & North Wales Region and will not be holding
another one in that Region until 2011. The YMGC Meetings are open to all CAMRA Members.

The pub-crawl of Liverpool left the meeting venue at 4.30pm prompt and as always was open to members and non-members
.

Young Members Pub-Crawl of Liverpool - Saturday 7th July, Leave the Ship & Mitre.

The Young Members Group Committee (YMGC) hold four meetings a year and have a pub-crawl of the local city after each one. These pub-crawls are open to members and non-members and leave the meeting venue at 4.30pm prompt.

The pubs we visit on these pub-crawls are traditionally chosen by Young Members in the Region who contact the local Branch Young Members
Contact (BYMC), with a list of their favourite Real Ale pubs in the city. The BYMC will then plot a route that encompases as many of those pubs as is practical.

These pub-crawls have become a show-case of the best Real Ale pubs that local Young Members would like to show off to other Young Members from all over the UK.
